The San Marin High School English department is committed to providing the highest quality education. Our teachers are committed to reading relevant, challenging texts; holding students accountable by assessing their knowledge regularly; by developing student skills at writing, including argumentative and analytical writing, skills highly sought after by colleges, and critical to student success in university. We meet regularly to improve the quality of education we provide through collaboration around analyzing student data, creating meaningful challenging assignments, aligning our course curricula, developing relevant assessments that ensure students mastery over the core skills that will help them succeed in university and life.
