All students will be required to read one book or several articles over the summer. Books will either be from a list of titles recommended from students or titles that connect to the curriculum. Pursuant to the Williams Act-- all students are entitled to a free public education-- the school must provide books. We have copies of many of the titles at San Marin High School, but strongly support any students who want to create a personal library by purchasing titles for themselves. Many titles available upon request.
You are required to read titles assigned to your respective grade level and complete any written work due on the first day of school. NO EXCEPTIONS. This assignment will be graded by your new teacher and will likely relate thematically to content in each grade level.
